Blessed are the Peacemakers

How wonderful and pleasant it is when brothers live together in harmony!  For harmony is as precious as the anointing oil that was poured over Aaron's heard, that ran down his beard and onto the border of his robe.  Ps. 133:1-2

Lord, help me control my tongue; help me be careful about what I say.  Ps. 141:3

I said, "I will be careful how I act and will not sin by what I say." Ps. 39:1

Depart from evil and do good; Seek peace and pursue it.  The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry.  Ps. 34:14-15

It is my duty and calling of God to dwell in peace.  That is a commandment of God (Matt. 6).  If I am to abide, I need not just read God's word, but obey it.  And I am told to be a peacemaker.  I'm the type of person, though, that easily causes strife.  I really need to be more humble and go out of my way for people and not try to have my needs met first.  My biggest problem is my tongue!  I need to guard what I say, not spread gossip and not talk about people.
